On Tuesday, April 8th, Charlotte’s Amos Southend came to life when Fame on Fire rolled into town for the opening night of their highly anticipated Death Card Tour.
The night kicked off at 7:30 PM with Archetypes Collide setting the stage ablaze. With a high-octane setlist featuring “Your Misery,” “My Own Device,” and a crowd-hyping cover of “What If I Fall,” they had the room warming up for the night to come. By the time they closed with their hit “Hollow High,” the crowd was more than ready for the next act.
Halocene took the stage at 8:15 and brought a darker, theatrical edge to the night. Highlights included “Just Want to Die,” “Glory Days,” and a jaw-dropping rendition of “Unholy” that had the entire venue singing along. Lead singer Addie Nicole Amick stunned fans with a dramatic reveal of black wings during their final song, “Maleficent,” adding a visual punch to an already explosive performance.
At 9:15, Fame on Fire stormed the stage and delivered a powerful, tarot-inspired set that mixed new tracks with fan-favorite classics. The band performed songs “No Tomorrow,” “Nothing Left,” “Suicide,” and “Nightmare” symbolizing tarot cards like Death, the Fool, the Lovers, and the Devil, adding an extra layer to the show’s theme.
The set also included older hits like “Welcome to the Chaos,” “Her Eyes,” and “Headspace,” keeping long-time fans locked in. Just when it seemed the night was over, the crowd erupted in chants for more, Fame on Fire obliged with a fiery three-song encore. They returned with “Lie to Me,” a VIP fan-chosen cover of “Without Me,” and wrapped things up with a ferocious performance of “Cutthroat.”
As the final chord rang out, fans clung to every note, not quite ready to say goodbye. The Death Card Tour’s opening night was a high-energy blend of heavy music, fan interaction, and unexpected surprises. If this performance was any indication, Fame on Fire is set to bring chaos and catharsis to every city they visit.
