Recent News: Released their new album DOGGOD on April 4. Their coinciding spring North American tour begins April 19.

Through a smokey haze and sun-drenched world emerges DOGGOD, the new album from Los Angeles garage rock trio L.A. Witch. Known for their dark, ethereal energy and psychedelic rock ‘n’ roll, L.A. Witch have returned once more with their latest full-length studio effort, diving further into the unrelenting unknown.

Recorded in Paris and dripping in medieval, empowering glory, DOGGOD explores themes of perseverance, love and devotion. Bringing together California gothic energy with dark psychedelia, L.A. Witch are known for their signature yet diverse musicality, one that brings together influences of surf, garage, psych, and folk to craft their own concoction of rock ‘n’ roll. However, on their new album, the group embraces themes of post-punk, taking on a more shadowy sonic identity. The resulting sound is one that cements the band as something of a love child between The Doors and The B-52’s.

Released through Suicide Squeeze Records, DOGGOD is the band’s latest album since their 2020 record Play With Fire. L.A. Witch’s latest musical effort is perhaps their most haunting release yet as they deliver new-wave and horror-inspired aesthetics alongside dreamlike compositions. Through wiry guitars and fuzzy melodies, DOGGOD provides the ultimate soundtrack for tales of both horror and dark fantasy.

In light of the band’s new album, the trio — consisting of Sade Sanchez (vocals, guitar), Irita Pai (bass) and Eillie English (drums) — will embark on a headlining North American tour with DAIISTAR and Chokecherry as support. Beginning April 17 in Sacramento, California, L.A. Witch will play throughout the U.S. and Canada this spring and summer before wrapping up the tour on June 28 in San Diego, California.

Hailing from a city known for its faded yet sparkling glamour and suntanned atmosphere, L.A. Witch are a group that, not only remind the devoted that rock ‘n’ roll is far from dead, but represent a darker underbelly to the City of Angels. Though the guitars are soft and fuzzy, the lyricism of the group is sharp as a sword, stabbing into the glittering, haunting wonders of post-punk influences as themes of strife and obsession are explored.
