Recent News: Today, they have released “Secondhand Smoke,” the fourth single ahead of their upcoming album Growing Pains, out April 11.

Making a name for themselves through their iconic aesthetics and unique blend of country and pop, Los Angeles-based trio Trousdale are rising to become one of indie music’s most exciting outfits. Known for their beautiful harmonies and the charming way in which they balance personal, melancholy lyrics with punchy and upbeat compositions, Trousdale are an outfit that is equal parts joyous and vulnerable.

Currently, the trio are gearing up for the release of their new album Growing Pains, out April 11 via Independent Co. Trousdale have released three singles so far ahead of the record including “Secondhand Smoke,” the album’s fourth single, out today. Adopting a more acoustic, somber approach, “Secondhand Smoke” tells a story of an abusive relationship.

“For us, this song is about loving someone who is battling their own destructive traits — traits that are slowly harming not just them, but also you,” Quinn D’Andrea says. “The metaphor of secondhand smoke reflects how their pain and actions seep into your life, leaving you as collateral damage. It’s a song about wrestling with the impossible decision to leave someone you love in order to save yourself, even though it feels like abandonment.”

Touching on a variety of themes such as relationships, heartbreak and the stress of the music industry, Trousdale express tremendous growth and healing through their recent musical efforts.

Trousdale - Over and Over

Following the release of Growing Pains on April 11, Trousdale will begin their headlining North American Growing Pains Tour on April 30. Starting in Philadelphia, the group will make their way across the U.S. and Canada before wrapping up their run on June 21 in their home city of L.A. Afterward, they will embark on the European and U.K. legs of the Growing Pains Tour this August.

Through their infectious combination of country folk melodies and popstar charm, Trousdale –- composed of Quinn D’Andrea, Georgia Greene and Lauren Jones –- offer an artistry that is as anthemic and optimistic as it is grounding and cathartic. As they dance along the edge of multiple genres — rock, folk, pop and country — Trousdale are defining what it means to be genreless, setting an exciting precedent for how far a band can expand upon the boundaries of popular music.
