Movements performs at the iconic History venue in Toronto

Date:

Movements brought their Spring 2025 tour to Toronto, performing at the iconic History venue on March 20th, with openers Scowl and Citizen. All bands delivered high-energy performances that kept the crowd amped from beginning to end.

Scowl, the second band of the night, delivered an intense performance. Drawing strong influences from hardcore and incorporating pop elements, their set was truly engaging and unique as they seamlessly transitioned between danceable tracks and two-stepping hits. Toronto always welcomes Scowl with open arms, and they level up their live performance with every visit.

Opening with one of their most popular tracks, “The Night I Drove Alone,” Citizen energized the crowd, with fans singing every word and filling the atmosphere with raw emotion and unity. Their set was a dynamic mix of high-energy songs that got fans moving and crowd-surfing, switching between slower tracks that allowed everyone to fully appreciate and take in the music—a perfect balance for any set list.

Finally, the long-awaited Movements took the stage. With a minimalistic stage setup, the band created an open atmosphere that allowed the crowd to focus solely on the music. Kicking off with “Afraid to Die,” they got the crowd dancing right away, wasting no time. Throughout their set, they played a mix of 16 tracks spanning multiple albums, maintaining an electric energy from start and ending with hits “Deep Red” and “Daylily.” The energy was calm yet thrilling, making for an unforgettable night. Whether someone’s a long-time fan or first-time listener of Movements, their catchy songs make it easy to vibe along with them.

The tour is now in its later half, so don’t miss your chance to catch these bands live when they come to your area. The spring tour is scheduled to continue into the American Midwest before transitioning into a west coast swing lasting into April.
