Maris delivers an iconic performance in Boston

Date:

Pop superstar Maris returned to Boston for an opening set on Maude Latour’s Sugar Water Tour at the Royale, but to many it felt like a headline set for her the way she commanded the stage and had the crowd dancing the entire time. Maris has a bright stage presence and knows how to put on a stellar show each time and when she’s in Boston you know it’s going to be a special show.

Maris’ love for Boston runs deep, going back to playing her first ever music festival at Boston Calling in May 2024 which was such a special moment. She absolutely slayed that set so you know every time she comes back to Boston it will be an iconic moment. Along with playing shows in Boston she has also worked alongside the Boston Music Project, which helps bring music lessons to schools that can’t afford them, where she would do a small show for the kids there, a truly heartwarming moment that always sparks joy.

We last saw Maris in November of last year on tour with Melt, but since then she has released more music into the world including new single “Give Me A Sign featuring the lovely Caroline Kingsbury. The song is an absolute bop and one that is a fan favorite for sure, with it gaining the most streams on Maris’ “secret” SoundCloud album that she had fans listen to to see which songs to release on her upcoming debut album, which we can’t wait for!

Maris and her drummer held down the show in Boston and made each moment so fun for everyone. A sweet moment in the show was when she performed her ballad “Chameleon” and the crowd held up small pieces of paper over their phone lights to illuminate the light in color, a fan project set up by fans Quinn and Elliot. It was such a cute moment that brought many to tears including Maris. Between that, choreographed dance numbers, witty banter, insane vocals, and inflatable guitar smashing, its safe to say Maris knows how to slay a show and make it a safe and welcoming space for all. The joy of a Maris show is truly unmatched. She truly is a star and one of the sweetest humans out there, we can’t wait to see what she does next!
