What’s wrong with feeling good every once in a while?
Between worrying about other people’s opinions to feeling good in your own skin, Cian Ducrot is on the verge of self-expression — and self-doubt. On his latest single, “Little Dreaming,” the Irish singer-songwriter is confident in himself in the best way possible. He’s joyful and positive, and makes you feel like living life to the fullest and feeling “so cool” in your own way is okay after beginning the year with “Who’s Making You Feel It?”.
He repeatedly sings, “There’s nothing wrong with a little dreaming…” saying that this idea of dreaming makes him feel “so cool.” Even when he’s dressing up and wearing glitter, sequins and pearls, 27-year-old Ducrot is carefree and honestly himself. “You know that I can’t stop this feeling / You know I’ve never, ever felt so good,” he sings in the chorus.
With the celebratory tone and words of empowerment, “Little Dreaming” is an upbeat, energetic and feel-good pop song that makes you feel heard for your indifferences to others who may judge you. But to Ducrot, it’s all about honesty and connection, as he faces these two things head-on on the bridge (“I like that dress, you look fine / I’m a such a mess by design / You know I promise, I promise I’ll be honest tonight”).
Ducrot, despite the odds being against him because of those who are trying to tear him down, finds the good in a little dreaming. His latest track, “Little Dreaming” is the perfect song for dancing — whether it’s in your bedroom with headphones on or at the club with all your friends — and erasing the evils that haunt our everyday lives.
