Rosie Darling leans into vulnerability in “Smoke & Mirrors”

Date:

Pop singer-songwriter Rosie Darling is leaning into her vulnerable side in her newest single, “Smoke & Mirrors,” which dropped March 14.

About “Smoke & Mirrors,” Rosie Darling said:

“I wanted this song to capture the feeling of not being good enough or the idea of trying to prove your worth to someone who is constantly choosing not to see it. To me, the lyrics carry this song’s story in that it makes the listener feel like they are there in real time watching this moment play out over the course of the song.”

Produced by Justin Gammella (FINNEAS, Ashe), the track starts off slow with Rosie Darling’s soft vocals taking center stage as she expresses her feelings about this person. Airy vocal harmonies add emphasis to the chorus, during which the singer powerfully confronts this person and aims to take back her power.

Be sure to watch out for Rosie Darling’s upcoming EP, Roomful of People, set to release April 25. Until then, keep up with Rosie Darling across all of her social media platforms.
