Ocean Pleasant embraces change in new song “Upstream”

Date:

28-year-old singer-songwriter from Texas Ocean Pleasant is unapologetically herself in every aspect of her life. Her songwriting is witty, vulnerable, and enchanting. Her new song “Upstream” has a bit of a folk vibe to it and focuses on the turbulence of personal growth.

“Upstream” is about straying from your routine. Through soft vocals and steady guitar, Ocean Pleasant explores her unknown. The chorus shares her desire to step outside her comfort zone to be with the people she cares for. Through this song, she battles her imposter syndrome and avoidant attachment style as she realizes she might be the problem inhibiting herself from growth.
