Fast rising singer-songwriter Ginger Winn released her newest single, “Freezing,” on March 7. The New York-based artist released her first album in June 2024 and has not looked back since. Having worked with the likes of David Baron (The Lumineers, Lenny Kravitz, Michael Marcagi) and A.J. Yorio (The Heavy Hours), Winn is looking ahead to the release of her second album, Freeze Frame, set to drop June 13.
Winn wrote “Freezing” with Yorio, who is the co-writer of Michael Marcagi’s breakthrough single “Scared to Start.” In January, Winn traveled to Yorio’s studio in Cincinnati, Ohio, with a plan to record 11 songs for her upcoming album. However, when a blizzard swept through as wildfires spread in Los Angeles, the two artists found themselves with more time to collaborate than they had planned. It was during this time that they recorded “Freezing.”
“Freezing” is a soul-stirring track that kicks off with Winn singing “We could freeze time / and keep those memories alive…” before building to a climactic, powerful finish. If you are a fan of “Freezing,” be sure to keep up with Winn on her social media accounts for more updates as the release of Freeze Frame nears.
