Most might know Frankie Grande as the famous older brother of pop star Ariana Grande, and to some, that might be all they know about him. However, his 2.1M Instagram followers and 1.5M TikTok followers know Frankie as a performer, singer, songwriter, actor, and activist. He does it all, and he does it memorably. While he has kept his singing skills more on the down-low over the years, it is now his time to show us what he’s got. He will be releasing a debut LP this summer, but before he does, Frankie gives us his debut single, “Rhythm of Love,” through Casablanca Records/Republic Records.
You know “Rhythm of Love” is bound to be instant perfection based on its list of co-writers: Frankie Grande, Alex Chapman (Kim Petras, Charli XCX), NOVDOR (Troye Sivan, Charli XCX), Neil Ormandy (James Arthur), and Molly Irvine. Additionally, the track was produced by NOVDOR and Prince Fox, who have turned this into a festive anthem. Throughout, Frankie’s theatrical vocals sing out or keep in time with the lively rhythms, transforming to fit the vibe. Meanwhile, against the cheerful sax riffs and energetic house beats, he sings, “It’s your rhythm of love that’s lifting me up deep into the night / It’s your rhythm of love that runs through my blood and keeps me alive.” You can watch it all unfold in the video below, which was filmed at The Box in New York City and directed by Austin Nunes.
Elaborating on his music career, Frankie recounts playing his songs for Republic Records President and Chief Creative Officer, Wendy Goldstein. She signed him right on the spot. He shares,
“I just remember playing the songs for Wendy in the studio and being like, ‘What is happening?’ I didn’t know I had it in me. I didn’t know it was possible.”
