Pom Pom Squad delivers a show stopping performance in Boston

Date:

Pom Pom Squad made a stop in Boston on their Mirror Ball Tour and put on a magnificent show in front of their most devoted fans dressed to the nines in cheerleader attire and (you guessed it), pom poms galore. Each stop of the tour has a special theme to it and this show’s just happened to be head cheerleader.

Led by frontwoman Mia Berrin, the Brooklyn-based band electrified the crowd with anthems of rebellion, heartbreak, and self-discovery, proving why they’re one of the most exciting acts in the scene today. The band released their second studio album Mirror Starts Moving Without Me last October to immense praise which is well deserved as it is a heartfelt work of art. Fans were in for a treat in Boston getting to hear some of the new songs live for the first time.

From the moment the band took the stage, the energy in the room was palpable. They kicked things off with “Downhill”. The audience immediately erupted into cheers, feeding off Berrin’s infectious energy and commanding presence. There was a good mixture of songs played from their discography including favorites like “Drunk Voicemail”, “Street Fighter”, “Head Cheerleader“, and also throwing in a cover of “Black Sheep” by Metric to the crowds delight. In fact it was one of the best covers of the song I’ve heard.

Pom Pom Squad know how to put on a fantastic show and Boston had to be one of their best yet. The energy was electric all night with the crowd singing and dancing all night long, with pom poms waving in the air. Mia expressed her love for Boston and how hard these crowds go each time they play here. It was truly a night to remember.
