Five months after announcing the original release date (Feb. 28), the duo The Ting Tings is sharing the brand-new date, and they’re also sharing a new single. The album, Home, is now set for release on June 6. Along with the announcement, they’ve released their latest single “Good People Do Bad Things,” today. Inspired by Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan, Dire Straits, Joni Mitchell and the Eagles, the single and upcoming album find the band embracing 1970s songwriting harmonies. It sees the duo (Jules De Martino, Katie White) deal with feelings of guilt, forgiveness and trying to come to terms with the darkness we live in.
Their new album, Home, is an ode to what they’ve built for themselves and their family in Ibiza. Written, recorded and self-produced by the duo in their self-built home studio, the album will be released under their own label, Wonderful Records. After “That’s Not My Name” recently surpassing its 15-year anniversary, the milestone has been fueling their creative spirit as they prepare to release Home.
