Enjoy announces new album and US tour with single “Slip Of The Memory”

Date:

Orange County experimental punk rocker Enjoy is back with a new single and music video for “Slip Of The Memory.” Half of experimental rock band The Garden, along with his twin brother, Enjoy has been creating solo music since 2010. Enjoy is very genre-fluid, having explored the use of synths, electronic drums and sound effects, as well as classic punk rock band instrumentation. “Slip Of The Memory” is a callback to Enjoy’s roots while building on the sounds of his last full-length project.

Coming in at under two minutes, the new single is short but sweet. There is not a wasted second in this track; with an abrupt beginning and end it starts and stops almost as if it was never there. Featuring reverb-laden vocals and guitars, “Slip Of The Memory” really has a fuzzy, nostalgic feel like some long lost memory. Backed by repeated strumming and a prominent baseline, the song has Enjoy’s signature West Coast lo-fi punk feel.

“Slip Of The Memory” is accompanied by a music video that brings the whole vibe together. Featuring a live performance of the track with punks dancing and stage diving, all with the look of being filmed on VHS, it truly looks and feels like a classic music video. Spliced with tiki bar clips and slow fade transitions, the dreamlike quality of the track is aesthetically brought out through the video.

Enjoy’s new full-length album The Sound Of Deceit releases on March 21st. Stream “Slip Of The Memory” and watch the accompanying music video below.
