The must have records for Record Store Day 2025

Record Store Day is a day for celebrating iconic records. Exclusive releases will be available, anywhere from classic albums to unreleased demos from your favorite artists. There are over 100 limited editions this year, but these are the must haves for vinyl collectors in 2025.

Three time GRAMMY-winner, Charli XCX, will be releasing 10,000 units of Number 1 Angel, a collection of 10 tracks that were recorded over the span of a month at her residence in LA and in the UK. 10,000 units of a 7″ vinyl for “Guess (feat. Billie Eilish)” will also be available.

The Cure will be releasing their 6th studio album, The Head on the Door, on a picture disc for the very first time. The album was originally released in 1985 and was produced by Robert Smith and Dave Allen at Abbey Road Studios in London. The LP features tracks like “The Blood,” “Close To Me,” and “A Night Like This.”

The Dare has found great success this year with his hit single “Girls.” A very limited amount of The Sex EP will be available for the very first time on a 12″ vinyl.

In celebration of its 50th anniversary, Fleetwood Mac’s 7x platinum-certified self titled album is being released for the very first time on picture discs. The tracklist includes notable tracks like “Landslide,” “Say You Love Me,” and “Rhiannon.”

The EGOT winner, John Legend, is giving his fans a very special treat with a collection of unreleased tracks from the original Get Lifted sessions on vinyl. Some of the tracks included are “Do What I Gotta Do,” “Freak Out,” and “Hurts So Bad.”

This years Record Store Day ambassador, Post Malone, will be releasing his livestream tribute to Nirvana on vinyl. The LP features Travis Barker on drums, Nick Mack on guitar, and Brian Lee on Bass. All of the proceeds from the LP will be donated to Musicare’s Addiction Recovery/Mental Health division. It features iconic hits like “Lounge Act,” “About a Girl,” and “In Bloom.”

Pop sensation, Taylor Swift, is releasing a 7″ vinyl of “Fortnight,” off of her GRAMMY nominated Album of the Year, The Tortured Poets Department. The vinyl will feature “Fortnight (feat. Post Malone),” and “Fortnight (feat. Post Malone) [BLOND:ISH Remix]”

Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp, also known as The Wreckers, will be releasing their iconic 2006 album Stand Still, Look Pretty, on vinyl for the very first time. The album will be pressed on a limited edition violet vinyl. It features “Leave The Pieces,” “The Good Kind,” and “Cigarettes.”

Early in 2024, YUNGBLUD collaborated with Lil Yachty for their single “When We Die (Can We Still Get High?).” In honor of Record Store Day, 2000 units of a 7″ vinyl will be released for the first time ever.

Gracie Abrams played one of New York City’s most iconic venues, Radio City Music Hall, and just so happened to record the show, which will be released on vinyl for Record Store Day. The LP features hit tracks from Good Riddance and The Secret of Us, including “That’s so True,” “I Love You, I’m Sorry,” “I miss you, I’m Sorry,” and “Let it Happen.”

Kelsea Ballerini is looking back on 10 years of her debut album, The First Time. An exclusive LP will be released that features not only the original tracks, but also five additional tracks and a 12 page book bound jacket that highlights more than 50 career firsts. The album will be pressed exclusively on an orchid splatter vinyl.
