bog berries admits to being “Overcommitted” in honest new single

Date:

New single “Overcommitted” by bog berries addresses the issue of failing to meet a standard of commitment or completion. Present in work, school, romantic or familial relationships is always some form of failure. Large or small, “Overcommitted” addresses promises made and time constraints in an honest way.

The song starts off with the upbeat chorus, with a surprisingly positive vibe considering the song’s sentiment. The lyrics “I know that I am / and I know that I’m always over, over / over, overcommitted” introduce us to the message right away. The rest of the song is spent with bog berries reflecting on why they seem to be this way.

In this day and age, the concepts of status, social media, influencer must-haves and societal must-do’s all tend to lead individuals to overcommit themselves. This in turn leads to cyclical exhaustion that’s ever-present in our society, amongst other negative effects. bog berries perfectly captures the essence of needing to be involved, in-the-know and admired in some way in “Overcommitted.”

The single provides a perfect tune to sing along to and relate to, whether your particular issue is constantly running late or forgetting to make an appearance somewhere promised.
