Date:

In 2021, Annabel Gutherz delivered her debut album, Loose Ends, in which she finds closure by singing from her heart. Listeners were introduced to Annabel’s earnest storytelling, whether she was falling in love, confronting demons from her past, or standing up for herself. Since the release, Annabel has refined her songwriting by working with various industry titans, ranging from Bleu McAuley (Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato) to Bonnie Hayes (Bonnie Raitt, Bette Midler). Each session results in singles that are timeless, as they combine Annabel’s classic style with contemporary emotions. With the new year upon us, there are more possibilities for Annabel to share her songs with the world and in ways that take her to new heights. She kicks off the year with the release of “Dance Around It.”

Co-written with previous collaborators and songwriters Mikal Blue and Bret “Epic” Mazur, “Dance Around It” focuses on the beauty and the fear of being in a loving relationship. All of the amazing highs can come with painful lows, and Annabel does not take this lightly. She expresses, “I’m so scared of what may come tomorrow / Are you mine or are you mine to borrow?” fully aware that love does not always last forever. Still, she is willing to take a chance.
