Alt-rock pair cleopatrick release their latest single, “PLEASE,” accompanied by a music video directed by Boy Wonder.

The song describes the feeling of being attached to someone where the feelings that may once have been reciprocated are now unrequited. Starting with guitar and light percussion, the song continues to build, with the first verse accented by backing synths and layered vocals. The lyrics ask “What did I wander into / It’s heaven to know your love.” Their vocal performance feels tired but in the best way, signifying the fatigue the narrator feels being strung along. It is hard to admit to always being there for someone who may or may not feel the same way. Regardless, that doesn’t really matter to the narrator because they will always be attached somehow.

In the music video, we see one shot of a person waiting in a hallway outside a row of doors, holding a box and listening to music. We never see the person they may be waiting for, but can presume they never show.
