Spacey Jane packed out Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn, NY to its rafters with an energy that felt nothing short of electric. This marked the band’s first stop on a two-city U.S. run (with LA up next), and the anticipation was thick in the air long before the quartet stepped on stage.
DJ Gift set the tone for the evening, spinning high-BPM dance classics that had the crowd primed and buzzing. Then, as if scripted for a moment of pure euphoria, Spacey Jane emerged to the unmistakable opening beats of The B-52’s “Love Shack,” immediately flipping the room into full-on celebration mode.
They launched into their set with “Skin,” the swoon-worthy opener from Sunlight (2020), and it was instantly clear that this crowd came ready to sing. Every word was belted back at the band, the room swaying in unison as if caught in the same dreamy current. The mood shifted seamlessly as the band moved into the punchy, uptempo groove of “Lunchtime,” followed by the slow-burning intensity of “Sitting Up,” both standout tracks from their 2022 album, Here Comes Everybody.
By the time they dropped “All the Noise,” their newly minted single off the upcoming album If That Makes Sense (set for release on May 9), the crowd was all in. You could feel the collective thrill of hearing something fresh—a shared moment between band and audience that felt almost sacred.
The energy never wavered. Song after song, Spacey Jane delivered with precision and heart, pulling the room deeper into their sonic world. The set closed with the heart-tugging masterpiece “Booster Seat,” a song that managed to leave the crowd both exhilarated and emotionally raw.
For a band standing on the cusp of their next big moment, Spacey Jane’s performance felt like a victory lap and a promise rolled into one. It’s clear that Spacey Jane has an undeniable pull.
