Brainheart and Michael Shynes find comfort in music on “Living In My Headphones”

Date:

Have you ever had a moment when you needed to hit the pause button on your day, grab your best pair of headphones, and get lost in the music? I’m sure you have – or you have experienced a similar desire. We all have those moments when we need to escape from everything we have going on, to find that special something that will help us unwind or process certain feelings. For his first single of 2025, DJ and producer Brainheart taps into this idea, giving us “Living In My Headphones.”

On “Living In My Headphones,” Brainheart teams up with singer-songwriter Michael Shynes for an empowering anthem. Together, they dote on the power of music and the way it can help listeners feel connected during life’s most isolating or difficult moments. The acoustic guitar strums in the beginning of the track give Michael’s vocals a vulnerable edge before blending into the EDM-style beats that lead up to the choruses. Once there, we get an explosion of pop rock set against Michael’s words, where he triumphantly sings, “In the soundtrack of my life, I never let you down” and “In the soundtrack of my life, I am the hero now.” You can check it out below.

About the single, Brainheart mentions,

“This song is about those moments when the world feels overwhelming, and music becomes your refuge. At its core, ‘Living in My Headphones’ is an anthem for anyone seeking solace in music during life’s most challenging moments.”
