Garrett Sparrow Daydreams on His Compelling New Single “PACER”

Date:

Garrett Sparrow is spearheading the alt-R&B landscape at present with his colorful sonics cut straight from a daydream and mesmerizing vocal tone. He’s a frequent collaborator with fellow rising R&B voices among the likes of Frank Sativa and Max Leonard. His latest release, “PACER”, is an introspective reverie on repeating cycles and waiting for something that’s just out of reach.

“PACER” captivates with effervescent synths, sun-stroked notes of guitar, and lush vocals from Sparrow himself. He sings, “Go ahead, run off without me / Please don’t forget me.” The single captures a tug-of-war effect between Sparrow and himself as he grapples with perception and yearning. “PACER” is a coming-of-age track that brings the often unspoken, yet universal internal thoughts of Sparrow’s generation to the surface.

Sparrow produced “PACER” along with the vast majority of his catalog. He takes control of his artistic process, in every sense, to create his distinctly recognizable sound. “PACER” is the latest we’ve heard from Sparrow, and it’s yet another cornerstone in his career.
