Joveth encourages healing in new single “Burn it”

Date:

Joveth is back with his newest single “Burn It.” This song is a blend of dance pop and synth pop that captivates the listener through its catchy and slower melody. Joveth’s journey has brought him through the Philippines to Sweden and finally to the US before finding his deep passion for music. There’s an underlying tone in the song that we can attribute to his inclination to blend genres as seen in his previous EP, Lonely Boy. This song is a direct reflection the commitment and authenticity that his music holds.

His music is deeply personal to him and it’s apparent through his raw lyricism. The song touches on themes of battling these inner demons and chasing a sense of healing and freedom, hence the title “Burn It.” The lyrics also speak to this theme: “Monsters in my head / Yeah they haunt me / Fallen apple taste amazing.” There’s this inner tug-of-war of these developed bad habits that you have to break free from. The emotional turmoil is apparent throughout the entire song.

The song opens with a heavy synth beat, immediately introducing those synth-pop melodies. However, when his vocals come in and we get a nice build into the chorus, there are hints of hip-hop and indie, as well. The dynamic beats with a seamless blend between synth, pop, indie, and hip-hop ultimately keep the listener engaged throughout the song and it goes on to reflect his versatility.

Overall, the song stands out with its modern indie sound while introducing elements of other musical genres. It’s shows Joveth’s creativity and understanding of his own sound.
