Eliza Harrison Smith shares her struggles on new song “Backslide”

Eliza Harrison Smith is an indie singer-songwriter originally from Washington, D.C. She is known for her infectious melodies, introspective lyrics, and breezy indie-pop production. Her latest release “Backslide” focuses on the ups and downs of life. 

“Backslide” is about the non-linear healing process. Through soft vocals and steady percussion, Eliza Harrison Smith shares her struggles with her mental health. Lyrics such as “Can’t have a good day without a bad night / I’m trying not to see me in the worst light / But every time I start to feel alright / That’s when I, I know I might backslide” show her triumphs and challenges on her healing journey.
