Mario to release first album in six years, ‘Glad You Came,’ in December

Acclaimed R&B singer Mario is set to release Glad You Came, his first album in six years on streaming platforms on Dec. 13, The album, distributed through Epic Records and Mario’s New Citizen imprint, marks his first studio project since Dancing Shadows (2018) and his first under a major label since D.N.A. (2009).

The album cover shows Mario against a mirrored wall with decor reminiscent of the 1970s, holding a vintage red rotary phone and giving a seductive look to the camera.

Mario previewed the release with the single “Space” on Sept. 27, which reached No. 20 on the Adult R&B Songs chart. The title track, “Glad You Came,” is scheduled to be released as the second single on Nov. 8.

The 38-year-old singer will join Mary J. Blige‘s The For My Fans Tour alongside Ne-Yo in January 2025.
