Tyla announces deluxe edition of self-titled debut album out this Friday

Tyla has announced the deluxe edition of her self-titled debut album, Tyla, will be out this Friday (Oct. 11) through FAX and Epic Records. The original album, released on March 22, 2024, showcases Tyla’s unique blend of amapiano, pop, afrobeats and R&B. Upon its release, the record debuted at number 24 on the Billboard 200 chart, accumulating 24,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.

Tyla has since been certified gold in Canada and Brazil and has garnered critical acclaim. It earned multiple nominations at the 30th annual South African Music Awards in 2024, including Album of the Year, Best Pop Album, Newcomer of the Year and Female Artist of the Year.

The “Water” singer surprised fans on Monday (Oct. 7); it will feature three new songs: “Shake Ah” featuring Tony Duardo, Optimist and Maestro, “Push 2 Start” and “Back To You.”
