American indie rock band flipturn has announced their sophomore album, Burnout Days, due out Jan. 24, 2025.
The band also released their lead single off the forthcoming record, “Rodeo Clown,” released Thursday, Sept. 26.
Fans can preorder a variety of vinyl editions, including the Burnout Days Crayons Vinyl, and a limited edition signed test pressing. Pricing for the vinyl options ranges from $30 to $75, with the signed test pressing already sold out. The pre-order is available now through Flipturn’s official store.
The band, which consists of Dillon Basse (vocals), Tristan Duncan (guitar) and Madeline Jarman (bass), who founded the band as high school seniors, will also embark on their first European tour. Following their college years at the University of Florida, the lineup expanded to include Mitch Fountain (guitar, synthesizer) and Devon VonBalson (drums).
The 2024 tour kicks off on Nov. 11 in Amsterdam and concludes on Nov 21. in Manchester. While most shows are sold out, tickets remain for select dates in Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne.
Thematically, the new single “Rodeo Clown” explores the idea of escaping an undesirable reality while maintaining a façade for others, in contrast to figures like “The Man in the Arena” who take ownership of life’s challenges.
