zinha is ready to move on in new song “so blue”

Date:

zinha decided to pursue her passion for music in 2021. From there, she began crafting her debut EP, sad/happy with the help of songwriter and producer Josh Christopher. Her latest release “so blue” focuses on moving towards new beginnings.

“so blue” is about pulling yourself together and getting back up. Through strong bass and layered percussion, zinha reflects on the pain she experienced during a breakup and is finally ready to move on. zinha questions the motives behind her ex-partner’s actions but has found the strength to move past this separation.

Sharing more about “so blue”, zinha comments:

“’so blue’ is an ode to the end of something, the empowerment stage of accepting and moving forward, no matter how colourful the ending looks. It was born from the core idea behind the song: the funky bass-line. We jammed it out one afternoon and realised it had a Stevie Nicks / Kate Bush element to it, especially with the vintage conga drum loop we found on an old cassette Josh had. The rest was history – it came together over two days and we knew this was the key single for the EP – a really fun jam!”
