Emmrose takes the blame in new song “Heartbreaker”

Date:

In 2020, Emmrose connected with her fans through virtual performances of her music. Now, fans across the world flock to her music for community and comfort. Her latest song “Heartbreaker” focuses on the end of a relationship.

“Heartbreaker” deals with heavy feelings after a tough breakup. Through gentle guitar and sweet harmonies, Emmrose regrets the pain she caused her ex-partner. While Emmrose didn’t intend to hurt her ex-partner, her actions severely damaged the bond they once shared, causing Emmrose to call herself a “heartbreaker.”

Sharing more about “Heartbreaker”, Emmrose comments:

“I wrote ‘Heartbreaker’ like a diary entry…The inspiration started from my literal diary. It’s a crazy story, and I feel like the lyrics get the plot across enough, but it’s all true. I broke up with a boyfriend for someone else, and that made me a heartbreaker. My ex even explicitly called me a heartbreaker, and that’s what kinda brought this whole concept to life.”
