BIZZY is tired of returning to the “Default Setting” on new single

Date:

As we have heard in previous singles like “I Don’t Get Breakups” and “My Age,” BIZZY has a lot of thoughts and feelings when it comes to relationships. She speaks her truth about exes or new love in a way that’s insightful and refreshing, using her words wisely. In the end, listeners see the rising alt-pop artist as a part of the family, not hesitating to cry or scream along with her at her shows. BIZZY’s new single, “Default Setting,” is another one that will take fans on an emotional ride, touching on modern love, past memories, and a lingering heartache.

On “Default Setting,” BIZZY struggles to move on from an ex. She opens the track by singing, “I’ve talked to three guys since we dated / And I have to admit / I really liked them,” showing that she has tried to move on. Still, she reveals, “I talked to three guys since we dated, but / You’re the default setting in my head.” All the while, the acoustic strumming picks up and morphs into a loud, alt-pop anthem with electric guitars and drums that bring out the desperation we hear in BIZZY’s voice. As she sings, “When I’m sad and feeling lost / You’re the only one I want / Oh, I hate that I go back to you / When I’m trying so damn hard not to tell you I miss you,” each guitar riff and drum beat accentuates her tortured feelings, making this another poignant release for BIZZY. You can check it out in the video below, directed by Griffin Olis.

Giving us more details about “Default Setting,” BIZZY explains,

“You have to ride the wave and let yourself go through it, embracing vulnerability along the way. ‘Default Setting’ captures that emotional journey of trying to move on from a past love you can’t seem to shake and the self-reflection that accompanies it.”
