Sharing more about “the me you never met”, Kell Martin comments:

“‘the me you never met’ is a song for your best friends. It’s specifically for the friends you met when you were at your lowest. But somehow, they made your life a whole lot better. You feel you’ve known them forever and forget there was a time when you weren’t in each other’s lives… This song tackles learning to be unashamed of the person you were before meeting someone you love. It is an energetic, hopeful indie rock tune reminiscent of the early 2000s. It’s also the second single from my upcoming EP, which is scheduled to release this fall.”
