Aiida is honest about her “Bad Tattoo” in latest dance pop single

Date:

Queer pop artist Aiida is vulnerable in her dance-pop song “Bad Tattoo” that released on Aug. 30 as she sings about people from the past still leaving a mark on her.

With powerful vocals, Aiida opens up and packs a punch in this two-minute song. She is clear about how frustrating it is when toxic people forget about you faster than you can stop thinking about their impact on you when she sings “Heard they moved on / Isn’t that nice? / I’m still here patching burns from the gaslight.”

Moving on and letting go is easier to say than do. The Norwegian artist encapsulates that situation when she sings “Everyone I’ve loved they / Stay skin deep” in the chorus. Listeners feel her anger as she belts out that her bad tattoos are “never fading / I f*cking hate it.” With creative lyrics, Aiida is honest about the hurt and betrayal you feel even after cutting someone off.

The beats in “Bad Tattoo” are layered perfectly to capture the chaos of trying to remove toxic people from your thoughts. Whether it’s a toxic friend, ex, or family member that lingers onto you, Aiida’s lyrics are sure to provide a space for you to reflect on your own bad tattoos and empower you to speak out as you overcome them.
