Approaching Jupiter drops a new pop single “One Day”

Date:

Canadian singer song writer Approaching Jupiter has made his debut with single “You Saved Me” and has now followed it up with a new slower pop single “One Day,” a collaboration with Mark Maclure. The track has similar emotional tones to that of “See You Again” by Charlie Puth and “Holy” by Justin Bieber. It is a heavier toned commercial pop song, with a catchy acoustic guitar melody that his soulful tonal quality really complement.

The acoustics, while simple, seem to be the heartbeat of the song. The melody quickly becomes memorable and has you bobbing your head along to the slower beats. It merges the typical pop sound we all know and love and takes a more intimate approach within the lyrics.

The lyrics blend the topics of motivation to be better eventually with a rather melancholy tone. This is a refreshing take for a track in the genre as the lyrics are where the intimacy lies in the song. This approach is one that can create a space for a broader audience to listen, as the acoustic feel will appeal to some and the emotional core within the lyrics will appeal to others.
