With a career that has already granted him fame, TikTok virality and an upcoming fall tour, alt singer-songwriter Joe P is really only just getting started. With his debut album set to drop this Friday, Joe P will continue to showcase his signature raw musicality with listeners. Experienced fans will see the singer in a way they never have, and new listeners will be granted the quintessential Joe P experience with his debut LP. The record, titled Garden State Vampire, comes out August 23 and follows Joe P’s two previous EP’s Emily Can’t Sing (2021) and French Blonde (2022).

Along with his upcoming LP, Joe P will also embark on a North American fall tour this year. Beginning September 19, the singer will start in Michigan and make his way throughout the U.S. and Canada before ending the tour in Pennsylvania on December 6.

The pandemic found Joe P’s first band — the one he fronted since he was in eighth grade — coming to an end. But this didn’t stop the New Jersey native. Joe P continued to produce and write his own material while sharing his music on TikTok. After accumulating 300K followers in just a few months, Joe P become viral with his hit song “Fighting in the Car.” A record deal with Neon Gold/Atlantic soon followed and resulted in the release of his two EP’s. Since rising to stardom, Joe P has established a unique form of the singer-songwriter genre — an alternative take seemingly reminiscent of groups like Cage the Elephant. Melancholy vocals are accompanied by fuzzy yet grounded electric guitars, creating an artistry that is as addicting as it is relatable.

Now, Joe P is set to release his inaugural full-length studio release this Friday. The 11-track album has had six singles released, including the classic rock-infused “Shadow in the Sun” and the charming acoustic number “Lily.” Unlike other artists of his time who have sparkled in the light of TikTok fame, Joe P possesses an independent edge. With a discography that is so clearly authentic and grounded, there is no doubt that Joe P will continue to stun and amaze with his artistry.
