Destroy Lonely announces sophomore album ‘Love Lasts Forever’ out next Friday

Date:

Atlanta rapper Destroy Lonely, whose real name is Bobby Wardell Sandimanie III, has announced his highly anticipated sophomore album, Love Lasts Forever, set for release on Aug. 30. This album signifies a crucial point in Lonely’s career, illustrating his artistic growth and deeper storytelling.

His debut album, If Looks Could Kill, released last year, quickly climbed to No. 1 on Apple Music, amassing more than 10 million streams and earning him recognition as an “Artist to Watch” by major outlets like Rolling Stone, Complex, Billboard, Pigeons & Planes and Alt Press.

Lonely previously released the first single from Love Lasts Forever, the single “LUV 4 YA,” released on June 14 and produced by Lil 88, henny and Evertime. The track is a groovy, laid-back anthem blending themes of love and materialism, set against slick drums and hypnotic riffs. The accompanying visual, directed by 91 Rules, explores Lonely’s journey through an alternate reality, where he’s caught in a limbo-like state.

Lonely is also set to appear at ComplexCon, the annual cultural event that fuses cutting-edge fashion, music and art.
