Daughtry announce new EP ‘Shock to the System: Part One’ out Sept. 27

Date:

American rock band Daughtry, formed by frontman Chris Daughtry, who was a finalist on the fifth season of American Idol, has recently announced their new EP, Shock to the System: Part One, which will be released on Sept. 27 through Dogtree and Big Machine Records. The EP will serve as the first part to their next album, following the releases of already released singles “Pieces,” “Nervous” and “The Reckoning.”

They are set to begin a short tour titled Adrenaline Gone Ballistic Tour this fall. The tour will begin on Nov. 30 at Franklin Music Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and will conclude on Dec. 21 at EPIC Event Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The announcement comes after Daughtry’s departure from their previous label, signing with Big Machine Records in August 2023. A few months before, Brandon Maclin announced via Instagram that he was leaving the band; Jeremy Schaffer was confirmed as the band’s new drummer on June 22, 2023.

Shock to the System: Part One marks their first major project in three years, Dearly Beloved (2021), their sixth studio album.
