Pauric O’Meara’s “Still Feel Young” is a defiant ode to youth

Date:

Indie pop and alternative rock artist Pauric O’Meara released his latest single, “Still Feel Young,” on August 13. The Dublin-based singer-songwriter has become known for his raw, captivating vocals and personal storytelling. “Still Feel Young” serves as the lead track from his upcoming EP, produced by David Curley, and emphasizes the importance of staying true to oneself in a world that often pressures people to grow up too quickly.

Opening with a sharp vocal line backed by an addictive guitar riff, the track hooks listeners from the start with capturing the essence of youth. With lyrics that reflect on the memories and challenges of growing up and building to a powerful chorus that questions whether it’s a privilege to still feel young, O’Meara’s message is clear: don’t let societal expectations dictate how you live your life.

On Instagram, O’Meara shared his thoughts: “Still feel young is about just that, still feeling young and pushing away the outdated thought that 30 is old, and you need to have your whole life sorted out before your 30. My friends are all having babies, getting married, building houses. Personally, I couldn’t think of anything worse right now.”
