Suki Waterhouse drops new single “Blackout Drunk”

On August 1, retro pop songstress Suki Waterhouse released her newest single “Blackout Drunk.” The new track continues to express the signature vintage musicality and effortless swagger from Waterhouse, and is her latest release ahead of her upcoming album.

“Blackout Drunk” is a poetic journey through tumultuous love as Waterhouse balances a charmingly upbeat composition with devastating lyrics. Telling the story of an unfaithful, alcoholic lover, Waterhouse seems to express to her partner that their behavior is destroying the relationship and themselves, and despite this fact Waterhouse will never sink down to the same level.

“Blackout Drunk” is the latest single from Waterhouse’s upcoming second album Memoir of a Sparklemuffin. Waterhouse’s previous releases include her EP Milk Teeth and her debut album I Can’t Let Go, both released in 2022. On top of her well-established music career, where she has gathered a devout following through her unique blend of retro and modern pop music characteristics, Waterhouse has also made herself known as a successful model and actress, having most recently starred in the Emmy Award-winning “Daisy Jones & The Six”. Additionally, Waterhouse recently got engaged to her long-time partner Robert Pattinson in 2023 and they welcomed their first child earlier this year.

Now, ahead of her upcoming album, due out September 13, Waterhouse will soon embark on the Sparklemuffin Tour, beginning September 27. Additionally, it was announced recently that Waterhouse will join Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour, where she will open for Swift at Wembley Stadium in London on August 17. Swift is set to play a total of five shows at Wembley, and other openers will include Sofia Isella, Holly Humberstone, Maisie Peters and Raye.
