Vilhelm Buchaus delivers hauntingly beautiful ballad “Break My Heart Again”

Date:

Singer songwriter Vilhelm Buchaus released “Break My Heart Again”, the third single from his upcoming debut EP, on July 26. With musical inspirations including John Mayer, Bruce Springsteen, and The 1975, Buchaus continues to explore new musical destinations since his debut in 2023 with single “First Cut”.

Buchaus wrote “Break My Heart Again” while experiencing a broken relationship that was not going to work out, no matter what was done. He said:

“I knew the relationship caused me more pain than joy, but I still hoped for a different outcome, and that feeling inspired this song.”

The gripping ballad combines subtle strings and piano chords to express both fascination and frustration. The 22-year-old artist sings with a sense of emotion beyond his years as he describes what he is going through, and as he searches for meaning in the breakup.

Buchaus has gained a quick following since his 2023 start, with over 38,000 Spotify monthly listeners. His debut EP is sure to be highly anticipated, and is expected to become available for streaming this fall.
