Recent News: Their fourth studio album,ย I Love You So F***ing Much, comes out this Friday, July 19.

Since their formation in 2010, English indie rock groupย Glass Animalsย has become one of indie music’s most internationally successful bands. The band came into fame right away with the 2014 release of their debut albumย Zaba, which included their single “Gooey” that ultimately became platinum in the U.S. Their sophomore albumย How to Be a Human Beingย (2016) won the MPG Award for UK Album of the Year, and their third albumย Dreamland (2020) was number two on the UK Albums Chart and number seven on the U.S. Billboard 200.

Now, the band is slated to release their fourth studio album, I Love You So F***ng Much on July 19. With their massive success from previous records, it’s no doubt this next release will continue to feed into their superstardom.

Composed of Dave Bayley (vocals), Joe Seaward (drums), Drew MacFarlane (guitar) and Edmund Irwin-Singer (bass), Glass Animals is best known for their single “Heat Waves.” The single is off theirย Dreamland album and currently holds over three billion streams on Spotify. The song topped international charts, and it all started after the track initially went viral on TikTok. In 2022, Glass Animals received their first Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.

The band has released two singles ahead of their new album, “Creatures in Heaven” and “A Tear in Space (Airlock).” The new album is inspired by the band’s worldwide fame and fortune. An article from Rolling Stone writes that frontman Dave Bayley says he felt as though he couldn’t keep up with the rapid fame the band faced.

“Life can change dramatically, but sometimes you arenโ€™t able to change as quickly on a personal level,โ€ Bayley said in a statement. โ€œYou end up feeling like a spectator. And then you are asked and expected to be a certain type of person, a different person. Butโ€ฆI wasnโ€™t sure how. It confused me to the point of not knowing who I was or if anything was real.โ€

Regarding the album’s title, Bayley says it’s inspired by human connection, and how despite the vastness of the universe, the concept of love is even more inspiring and complex. Glass Animals is currently on their “Tour of Earth” tour, and you can buy tickets here.
