OAKLND and Almost July Collaborate Again on “bad sign”

Date:

Alt-pop artists OAKLND and Almost July collaborated to release their latest single, “bad sign”, on July 11. The self-produced track is set to be part of an upcoming OAKLND EP. The artists last worked together in February 2024 to release “older”.

Like recent release “hate that we dated”, “bad sign” tells the story of heartbreak felt at the end of a relationship. The lyrics sing, “Guess it’s a bad sign / That you’re still in my head / Told you that I’m fine / But I’ve got a hole in my chest”, creating a deep feeling of longing. The track perfectly balances vulnerable lyricism with both artists’ trademark lulling, hazy alternative pop sounds.

About the release, Almost July posted on Instagram:

“BAD SIGN w/ @oaklnduk is yours now!! Can’t even begin to say how grateful I am for this collab! So proud and hope you love it as much as I do!!”
