Bella Rafflyn Debuts in “Overdrive”

Date:

Debuting as a solo artist, Bella Rafflyn releases her first single, “Overdrive”. The New Zealand-based artist has spent the past few years as lead vocalist, guitarist, producer, and songwriter for Coast Arcade, an indie rock/surf band. As her debut, “Overdrive” tells a personal story about heartache and failed relationships.

This single tells the story of a will-they-won’t-they dynamic where the narrator finds herself unable to feel comfortable with her partner, but unable to be content without them. Elements found within grunge and pop blend together into a bright new indie pop-rock sound. In comparison to Rafflyn’s work with Coast Arcade, “Overdrive” contains a softer and more personal introspection.
