The Knocks and Dolores Forever collaborated on their newest single, “LOVER”, released on June 28. Both bands have seen success over their years in the music scene, with The Knocks working with artists such as MGMT and Billie Eilish, and Dolores Forever being named a 2023 Rolling Stone “one to watch”.
Drawing inspiration from house, disco, hip-hop, indie, and pop, “LOVER” is an upbeat summer hit that is sure to attract listeners who are fans of either band, or who are discovering the two groups for the first time. The track is a beautiful blend of both bands’ sounds, and is one that you will not want to miss.
About the collaboration, Dolores Forever said:
“Lover is really an expression of confidence, for when you’re done crying on the dancefloor and just want to have a great time. We wanted it to sound as if Fleetwood Mac and glitter had a baby, and The Knocks really brought that. We’re so excited to be releasing this song together – hope it’s a soundtrack to someone’s summer of fun.”
The Knocks added:

On the horizon, Dolores Forever is set to go on tour starting July 4 in Barcelona, and plan to release their debut album, It’s Nothing on September 27. The Knocks are set to go on tour beginning July 13 at the “Summer Series” in Montauk, NY.
