Tessa Dalton is starting to release her music to the world, and her latest single, “Overkill”, is a high-energy love song about obsession.

“Overkill” is about being head over heels in love. Through punchy drums and fun harmonies, Tessa Dalton asks if she is being over the top in her relationship. Lyrics such as “I’d go anywhere you ask me to / I’d go anywhere just ask me to” show her obsession with her partner, leading her to question whether she is being overbearing.

Sharing more about “Overkill”, Tessa Dalton comments:

“I tried to capture the feeling of summer approaching and having a fun, casual thing unexpectedly turn into something more. The lyrics toggle between denial and self-realization; what seemed like the end turned into the beginning.”
