Ashe — who was born Ashlyn Rae Wilson — has announced her forthcoming album, which is also her last name, Wilson, scheduled for release on Sept. 6 via an independent record label. Alongside the announcement, Ashe will also release the lead single off the album, “Running Out Of Time,” tonight.
Wilson marks her first studio album under her new independent label. Her previous albums, named after her first and middle names, include her sophomore album, Rae (2022), and her debut album, Ashlyn (2021), both released through Mom + Pop.
In an Instagram post, Ashe wrote about Wilson:
“Wow I’m grateful to be on the other side and for all your kindness. I feel lucky I’ve been able to take this time, to still be here and that in the end, I’m able to put this album out my way. Thank you so so much from the bottom of my heart. I really missed this and I really missed you.”
Ashe became best known for releasing her single “Moral of the Story,” released in 2019, which featured in the Netflix film To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You (2020). “Moral of the Story” reached No. 71 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Ashe’s first entry on the Hot 100 entry and achieving international success.
