Ever since making her official music debut in 2019 (or perhaps at 8 years old, when she first started writing songs), singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams has proven herself as one of the most prominent rising stars within the music scene. Having earned explicit praise from peers like Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish and Post Malone, Abrams is just as talented of an artist as she is respected. Initially finding fame after opening for Rodrigo in 2022 for her Sour tour, Abrams then went on to open for Swift for her critically acclaimed Eras Tour. Just recently, Swift brought Abrams on stage at her London concert to perform “Us,” a song off Abrams’ newest album The Secret of Us that features Swift.

Abram’s sophomore album The Secret of Us was released on Friday, following her 2023 debut album Good Riddance. Since it’s release less than one week ago, The Secret of Us has since gone on to become her first number one album in the UK charts and has millions of streams on Spotify. This fall, throughout September and October, Abrams will embark on The Secret of Us Tour. The tour was announced via Instagram on June 3, and on June 7 it was announced that the tour was completely sold out.

Her first musical release was her 2019 single “Mean It.” She released a number of other singles before dropping her debut EP minor in 2020. The following year, Abrams released her sophomore EP This Is What It Feels Like before eventually releasing her two full length albums in 2023 and 2024.

With a musicality that is equal parts charming and emotional, Abrams has garnered such a devout following and artistry due to her poetic songwriting. As she shares with the world intimate moments and feelings of her life, Abrams expresses a complex personality through a rawness that is relatable and enticing. Inspired by a range of artists — everyone from Joni Mitchell to Elvis Costello to The 1975 — Abrams is the embodiment of modern music: masterful storytelling, soft compositions and a compelling personality.

Stream The Secret of Us, the new album from Gracie Abrams, on Spotify and Apple Music.
