NOT A TOY, the alternative-pop band from Colorado, releases the breakup anthem of the summer called “one-sided”. The band has carved a niche for themselves with their infectious melodies, electric live performances, thought-provoking lyricism, and their ability to connect with their fanbase. Their discography is full of catchy hooks and memorable choruses which continue to shine through in their newest single.

The single explores themes of unreciprocated love. In a one-sided relationship, one person is pouring out their heart while the other remains distant, as indicated with these lyrics: “I bet you told all your friends how I’m leaving / Bet you said I only call when I’m wasted / Probably told all your girls that I’m toxic / But did you tell them I need you / And did you say that I worship you”.

Kickstart your NOT A TOY era by listening to these tracks:
“simp”
“beam me up.aif”
“grown folk problems”
“Demise”
