The song features rising indie star Knox on vocals. The singer-songwriter is set to release his next single, “Chasin’ You on a Treadmill”, next week, and is expected to tour with The Band Camino this July through August. Bilmuri has his own tour lined up to promote his album AMERICAN MOTOR SPORTS, which will run from August through September.
“2016 CAVALIERS” hits all of the references to which Bilmuri foreshadowed. The song starts off seeming like a quiet country tune, but quickly crescendoes into a rocking guitar riff that sets the mood for the rest of the track. Bilmuri and Knox do an impeccable job of maintaining the energy throughout the song while they sing of a past relationship that had to end for the greater good.
With the song release, the duo premiered the song’s official music video on YouTube. The video has received over 20,000 views in just 12 hours since going live.
“2016 CAVALIERS” is sure to stand out among Bilmuri’s nine other tracks featured in his upcoming album, AMERICAN MOTOR SPORTS, which releases June 28.
About AMERICAN MOTOR SPORTS, Bilmuri said:
“I’ve never worked on anything more in my life and I believe it shows on this record. AMERICAN MOTOR SPORTS is the best album I’ve ever been a part of by an absolute long shot.”
