Lucas Adlhoch, professionally known as Marlin Beach, is a songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist focused on creating beachy yacht rock anthems. His latest release, “Springsteen”, is a catchy ballad reflecting on a past relationship.
“Springsteen” is about a painful breakup between partners. Driving drums and playful synths support the chorus detailing the night they separated. While they acknowledged their relationship wouldn’t last much longer, they both were hurt during their split.
Sharing more about “Springsteen”, Adlhoch comments:
“‘Springsteen’ is a deeply personal song that emerged from the emotional aftermath of a huge breakup. As a songwriter, I found myself grappling with feelings of longing, nostalgia, and the complexities of love. Bruce Springsteen’s music has always been a source of comfort and inspiration for me, and it felt natural to weave his influence into the fabric of this song. ‘Springsteen’ captures the bittersweet journey of trying to move on, the nights spent driving aimlessly with his iconic songs playing on the radio, and the hope that somewhere in the distance, healing and connection await. Writing this song was a cathartic experience, allowing me to process my emotions and find solace in the music that has always been there for me.”
