Up-and-coming pop artist, writer, and producer Drew Schueler just released his latest single, “This Is Where”. The track is one of seven off of his upcoming EP, Vulnerable for Once, which is set to release later this year.
Schueler is no stranger to the world of music. After years of laying the groundwork, he is hitting the top of his game. Prior to this year, Schueler was the Grand Prize winner of the 2023 Nashville Songwriters Association International Song Contest, the writer of K-pop star D.O.’s hit “Somebody”, and the producer of Zoe Clark’s first EP and hit single “Last One Standing”.
Under his personal artist project, Schueler has released 24 songs, attracting 5.75 million total streams on Spotify. Schueler’s well-polished vocals and production skills helped him to stand out in his home base of Nashville, TN. His fan base continues to grow, and is excited for his newest track – the song’s announcement on Instagram and other social media platforms received overwhelmingly positive comments.
“This Is Where” is a ballad written by Schueler for his wife after the couple bought their first house. Schueler sings about the comfort in home, and the future memories that the two will make in their new place. In the song, he expresses an excitement for the future and for connecting with loved ones. His raw voice, similar to Lewis Capaldi or Ed Sheeran, adds a layer of emotion to the song that compels the listener to pay close attention to the lyrics.
About the song, Schueler said:
“Home. We felt it as soon as we saw the house for the first time. I could see the future memories so vividly. A week after closing, I wrote my wife this song and played it for her on her birthday. This song means the world to me and I’m so glad it’s now forever yours.”
