Maisie May Releases “Mourn u l8r”, Third Song of ‘Flirty Masochist’ EP

Date:

Maisie May just released her most recent song of 2024, “Mourn u l8r”. Following her success in January this year with her five-song project 2much2give, May is in the midst of her next big release – Flirty Masochist, which will contain six new tracks centered on themes including mania and curiosity. “Mourn u l8r” is the third single of the upcoming Flirty Masochist EP.

Written last fall while May felt afraid of vulnerability, she focused Flirty Masochist on similar themes, including reflecting on the moments in life when you allow your guard to keep you from being your true, best version of yourself. Specifically on “Mourn u l8r”, May explores the impulsive choice to pursue someone you are not even interested in, to distract yourself from choosing the right person and risking getting hurt.

About “Mourn u l8r”, May posted on Instagram:

“Mourn u l8r: a song about ignoring your instincts and being impulsive cuz you <3 distractions. Can’t wait for this whole project to be out.”

The song, sung by May, produced by Kaleb Fulmer, mixed by Aaron Sayre, and mastered by Jed Naranjo, is expertly created. Guitar melodies sparkle against synth beats, and May’s soft voice shines above it all. Be sure to catch this track on streaming platforms everywhere while we await the full Flirty Masochist EP!
