GiFU’s Debut Single “Waiting For Spring” Compares Nature and the Human Experience

Date:

Norwegian band GiFU has released their debut single, “Waiting For Spring”. This song blends genres of pop and psychedelic rock, creating a fun, relaxed track. “Waiting For Spring” compares the changing of the seasons to personal growth over time.

Combining playful piano and vivid lyrics, GiFU describes a journey of change. Lyrics such as “Put the old me in the shed / To fully start over” show the desire to change. However, as heard at the end of the song, change “Takes time”, and we need to allow ourselves to rest when needed.

While “Waiting For Spring” is the first song released by GiFU, it will not be the last time you hear from them. They intend on releasing their debut album, Sunn GiFU, in October and have planned on playing various shows and festivals such as Klubbøya 2024.
